We’ll start from Luang Prabang and then drive to a nearby valley southeast of Luang Prabang. We’ll arrive at Long Lao Village where we’ll begin our hiking tour! Before trekking, we can explore the life and culture of this village where Khamu and Hmong people live. We’ll also see the work of our Fair Trek project, a beautiful clay-built bungalow used for overnight tours to experience local village life and culture.

We’ll continue trekking into the mountainous Lao countryside of Luang Prabang. Hiking along the jungle trail you will pass by rice fields, orchards, and vegetable gardens and before reaching the forested mountains with quite wild jungle scenery and some graded climbs.

In the afternoon you will arrive at the crystal clear Kuang Si Waterfall. A beautiful forested route leads you to the end of your trek and your final reward! The welcoming and refreshing pools of Kuang Si Waterfall await you, where we will have plenty of time to relax and swim in the cooling water!

While in the Tad Kuang Si Waterfall nature reserve, you can visit the Kuang Si Bear Rescue Sanctuary. At the visitors centre, you can learn more about the Asian sun and moon bears and find out about the Free the Bears protection program.
