This 12-Day Langtang Valley Trek includes pick-up and drop-off at the airport in Kathmandu, as well as a day of sightseeing around the capital city. The trek begins with a breezy scenic drive along the Trisuli River, north of Kathmandu, through Trisuli Bazaar; where we reach Syabrubeshi, a Tibetan village and farming community.
Many villagers that you will meet along this route are originally from Tibet, as the trail was once an important trading highway with Tibet with Nepal. (Today, people still barter with travellers along here). On this trek, you will follow the river valley up through an area rich in natural diversity which eventually widens out to reveal marvellous peaks, glaciers and surrounding pastureland.
The cultural heritage of the region is very interesting; as we visit Buddhist monasteries and sample yak cheese made locally at the high mountain cheese factories. In the Upper Langtang Valley, the scenery is spectacular, with many exciting viewpoints to explore, providing up-close mountain and glacier views. We will show you all of the hidden treasures of this region!
Both fixed departure group trek and private departure treks are available. We conduct departures for Langtang Valley almost every week. Check our departure dates and select which date best suits you. Or, if you prefer, or are travelling with a group, private treks can be arranged any day as per your requirements. Private groups may be suitable for: for couples, families, charities and small groups of friends.
