Komodo National Park is Home to one of the Best Dive Sites in the World! Join our Friendly Crew to explore Komodo and more Untouched Paradise Islands on this Spectacular 4-Day Swashbuckling Adventure!
Komodo Island is famous for its currents, fantastic coral life and lots of fish! We choose the best dive sites depending on experience levels, weather, currents (moon phase), sightings and previous dive days. Because of the diversity of the area and the currents, we cannot offer specific dive sites, but we can offer safe diving and good times!
We also make plenty of time for non-diving activities, ranging from a small hike on one of the islands for a beautiful sunset to beach and reef clean-ups.
About Our Boat: The Salakanagara
Salakanagara is not a luxury boat and we don’t offer luxury trips. She is, however, a very sturdy young Phinisi style schooner, travelling the Indonesian waters since 2015, with an excellent crew on board!
She is strong, capable and designed to explore the Indonesian seas. She features all safety related items for operating in remote areas.
The Wheel House (Captains Quarters) is located in the middle of the boat with the main dining area located just in front. Here you can help yourself to tea, coffee, toast, water, electrolyte drinks and fresh fruit which is always on the table for to to help yourself!
Instead of cramming in loads of divers, like a tin of sardines – we like to keep things small. With only 14 guests, we can cater to each individual’s needs… as well as reduce our environmental impact on the dive sites. And we keep the groups small, we have a maximum of 4 divers per divemaster.
Accommodation on the Boat:
There are 4 cabins with 2 berths (bunk beds, or more like a capsule bed idea really) and one cabin with 6 berths (bunk beds) on board. The rooms are generally shared between males and females (we will try to divide, but cannot guarantee). Special requests for upper or lower berths are subject to availability.
There are 2 shared bathrooms on board for the 2 berth cabins and the dorm room has it’s own toilet and shower as well. Besides that, there are cold outdoor fresh water showers on deck.
Each bed is designed as a pod with a power outlet, LED reading lamp, personal fan and privacy curtain. Cabins are fully air-conditioned and have secure storage for personal gear. All cabins have their own opening sea view window. Each cabin and each pod has a 220v plug socket, so you can charge your battery packs or your dive torch.
