  • Waterfall Trip (Optional) – If there is at least an hour before sunrise, you can go and see Singang Gile and Tiu Kelap Waterfall which are close by to Senaru.

* Extra Day Trekking – Recommended for Slower Hikers

There is also the option of hiking more slowly and taking two days trekking to reach the crater rim, instead of one day. This is advised for slower hikers, families with small children or just those who want to take their time trekking and taking in their surroundings. With this option, you would spend one night in a hotel in Senaru, before the trek, one night half camping (half way up to the crater rim) and one night camping at Senaru Crater Rim, so three nights in total. If you prefer this, please choose this option when you book above.

Hallo Trekker

The South East Asia Backpacker Community have tried and tested adventures across the region and handpicked a selection of only the BEST companies to work with.

Why we chose Hallo Trekker?

Hallo Trekker (formerly Oke Trekker) was founded over 10 years ago. The founder, Rustam Efendi (aka Fendi) started the company to show people the treasures of his beautiful island home and make each person realise that anything is possible! So what makes them stand out from the myriad of other trekking companies who run this trip:

  • Hallo Trekker thrive to have a sustainable business model that aims to assist people in hiking the mountain successfully and safely, whilst being mindful of the fragile eco-systems and environment of the mountain and surrounding national park.
  • They have their main office in Senaru-Bayan village and their guides have led trekkers through the Senaru and Sembalun routes to Mount Rinjani for more than 20 years.
  • Their guides have a high level of English and are skilled in the challenge of hiking Mount Rinjani, as well as reading the weather patterns, understanding technical mountain climbing and a knowledge of first aid.
  • Safety of climbers is a priority – with proper hydration and nutrition before during and after the trek.
  • You may find cheaper trekking tours up Mount Rinjani, but when it comes to mountaineering, please be reminded that cheapest isn’t always the best. Hallo Trekker ensures hikers of a safe and quality experience. If you’re not yet convinced, just have a look at their TripAdvisor reviews.
