Daily Schedule
Training happens 2 x per day. The morning session is 6 am-8 am and the afternoon session is 4 pm – 6 pm.
Example morning session: warm-up run (4km, 20 minutes), skipping (10 minutes), stretching (10 minutes), shadow boxing (10 minutes), bag work (25 minutes), pad work (15 minutes), push-ups, burpees, pull-ups and sit-ups (20 minutes).
Example afternoon session: warm-up run (4km, 20 minutes), stretching (10 minutes), shadow boxing (10 minutes), bag work (25 minutes), pad work (25 minutes), clinching (every day at 6pm), technical sparring (2-3 times per week), knees on bag (100 knees, 10 minutes), repetitive kicks on bag (100 knees, 10 minutes), individual technical drills (20 minutes), walking knees, kicks, push.kicks, punches, defence and offence training, sprints (15 minutes, 2-3 times per weel only), weights (15 minutes) push-ups, burpees, pull-ups and sit-ups (100 each, 15 minutes*), pull-ups (2 sets). (Prizes for the first finisher!)
Beginners and non-fighters can train at their own pace, skipping a morning or afternoon session depending on how their body feels that day. All training sessions are optional. However, those wanting to train professionally must train full-time 6 days a week.
Accommodation – Included
Included in this package is accommodation at the nearby resort JR House. The resort offers comfortable private rooms with AC, WIFI, private bathroom, fridge freezer and free access to the beautiful private swimming pool.
Food – Not Included
This package does not include food. However, there are many places near the gym (within walking distance) where you can buy a typical Thai meal for 30-50 THB. We highly recommend that you try local Thai food which is delicious, varied and healthy!
Location
- Santai Muay Thai is located in the beautiful rural area of Sankamphaeng, just a short drive East of the city of Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai is known for its vibrant cultural scene as well as being on the doorstep of amazing countryside which you can explore whilst training with us.
- The nearby mountains offer plentiful opportunities for trekking, camping, mountain biking, birdwatching, motorbike adventures, white water rafting, kayaking and more! Inside the city, you have many cultural activities to enjoy such as Thai massage, temple visiting, meditation, yoga, street food, arts and crafts, and local markets. There are hundreds of cafés and restaurants to choose from serving both Thai and international cuisine.
How to Get There
The gym is located around 30 minutes drive from the old city of Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai Arcade Bus Station or Chiang Mai International Airport. To get to Santai Muay Thai you can get a tuk-tuk or taxi which will cost 400-600 THB depending on the location and the price that you agree with the driver.
Organised Pick-Up: Alternatively, you can get picked up in the Santai Gym Truck which costs 500 THB and is available 24/7. If you would like pick-up, please tell us the pick-up time and the location you require pick-up from in the ‘Additional Information’ box when booking.

Payment:
To reserve your place at this Muay Thai Camp, you must pay a deposit online with South East Asia Backpacker via credit/debit card. The full payment must be paid directly to Santai Muay Thai Gym no later than 14 days before your arrival date. Payment can be made by bank transfer, Wise or Western Union to Santai Gym’s bank account in Thailand. (Bank details will be given upon confirmation of your booking.)
