Accommodation
Accommodation at Dang Muay Thai involves simple private rooms with a shared bathroom โ making it the perfect choice for those on a budget! Each room contains essentials like a fridge, TV and aircon. Bedding and towels are replaced during the weekly clean which is included as standard with all rooms, allowing you to focus on your training and not worry about changing the bed!
All accommodation packages come with unlimited Muay Thai group training sessions and one private session each week.
Food
The camp does not provide meals. Instead, youโre free to explore the myriad of culinary experiences that make Chiang Mai, and specifically the old town, such a popular destination for travellers! This gives you the freedom to eat what you want, where you want, when you want โ ideal for people with dietary requirements!

Dang Muay Thai is located in the beating heart of Chiang Mai โ in the old town โ just a short walk from the Suan Dok Gate. Surrounded by bars, restaurants, food stalls and countless popular attractions, you wonโt struggle to fill your downtime!
How to Get There
From Chiang Maiโs old town, the easiest way to reach Dang Muay Thai is on foot. Just head towards the Suan Dok Gate. Dang Muay Thai is a hundred metres south of the gate.
The nearest airport is Chiang Mai International. Itโs only a 45-minute walk or a 15-minute taxi ride to the gym.

- When is the best time to train Muay Thai in Chiang Mai? The best time to train Muay Thai in Chiang Mai is from November to February. This is dry season and temperatures are at their coolest. Training in wet season (May to October) is also a good time but prepare for warmer, more humid days. You should avoid training Muay Thai in Chiang Mai during the burning season (March and April). At this time of year, Chiang Mai becomes one of the most polluted cities in the world, making any form of exercise a lung-busting challenge.
- Do these packages cater to beginners? Yes, Dang Muay Thai caters to people of all experience and fitness levels. In group classes, youโll be matched with people of a similar level. In private classes, the trainer will tailor the session to suit your needs!
- Are children allowed? Children can train at Dang Muay Thai but only in private classes.
- Can the camp arrange fights? Yes, Dang Muay Thai can help get you into the ring. Youโll need to speak to them directly about arranging a fight when you arrive at the camp!
- Can the camp organise a Muay Thai visa? Yes! Enter Thailand on your normal visa exemption or tourist visa and Dang Muay Thai can help you convert it to an Ed Visa for a fully inclusive fee of 148,000THB (approx. $4,222USD). This allows you to stay and train for a year or more. You will need to commit to at least five training sessions per week as well as 1.5 hours of online Thai language lessons a week to be eligible for the Thai Ed Visa. A year of unlimited training is included in the cost. Accommodation for the year is also available for an additional 150,000THB (approx. $4,280USD). To reserve your place at this Muay Thai camp, you must pay the deposit on this website by credit or debit card. The camp will be in contact by email to confirm your booking. You will need to pay the remaining balance in cash when you arrive at the camp.
