We done the 1 day trekking tour through the jungle and visited two amazing waterfalls along with an amazing dinner at a viewpoint high in the mountains. Our guide Virawut was outstanding the guy knew everything about the jungle and animals etc, he made the experience so good. They sorted it on quick notice just for myself and my girlfriend. I would highly recommend this for anyone coming to Chiang mai. Be sure to bring good hiking/walking shoes.
We absolutely loved our tour with Mit. We didn’t totally know what to expect, and were blown away. The entire day was unique and off the beaten path. We enjoyed getting to know Mit and engaging with the Hilltribe community.
In general trekking was a very good experience. Positives: knowledge of the guide about plants, possibility to try some of them like cinamon, amazing lunch at the Waterfall, food very well prepared in great athmoafere, good organization with transport. Negatives: i was a bit disappointed with the jungle itself, maybe its because of the season but to me it was like a normal forest not a jungle, i know it is not a zoo but I have not seen any Animals as well, i had one day trip and we have not met anybody in the hiltribe Village So there was no chance to speak and have this experience. Aparat from that Tour as described, 6 hours of hiking up and downs, transport, meal, swimming in the Waterfall was not possible because it was small one but really charming.
We took part in the two day trek, and we highly recommend going for the over night trip. We were especially pleased with our tour guide Tin with whom it was safe to hike in the jungle, but he also had amazing knowledge about the plants and local culture. More so, heโs also a great cook! Even though the trek was awesome, there were some downsides as well: We didnโt receive all the information needed about the trip, and once we asked the customer support was very rude to us and fairly hard to deal with. If you can get past that, we encourage to take the two day trek!
This was the highlight of a one month trip in Thailand. The hike was fun, along a trail not on maps, with loads of insights from the guide and lots of laughter. I did the 2 days and the farmstay was so worth it, finally a real look into the lifes of the hilltribes, completed with lunch, the following day, at a hilltribe family! Thank you so much, it was perfect!
