Ninh Binh is often called the “Halong Bay on Land” because of the dramatic limestone mountains rising dramatically out of the Sao Khe River. Renowned for its gorgeous scenery, Ninh Binh is a place of other-worldly limestone formations, lush green rice-paddy fields, exquisite river deltas, stunning temples, intriguing history and ancient rural cultures.

Ninh Binh Tour Itinerary
7.15 – 7.45 am – You will be met by a tour guide at your hostel in Hanoi.
8.00 am – You will begin a two-hour road journey to Ninh Binh Province.
10.15 – You will start your experience in Ninh Binh with a boat ride on the river – but without the tourist crowds! Gently float by amidst dramatic scenery of limestone mountains, flooded rice paddy fields and lush jungle. Pass through a secret passageway of stalagmite covered caves leading into hidden valleys and opening up views of one stupendous vista after another.
12.15 – Enjoy a mouth-watering lunch! We’ll head to a 4-star hotel to sample mouth-watering Vietnamese dishes with views over the gorgeous countryside.
13.45 – After lunch, we’ll visit the temples of Hoa Lu, Dinh and Le. The two main sanctuaries of the Dinh and Le Temples are dedicated to the Dinh and Le dynasty dating back to the 11th century!
14.45 – We’ll hop on bicycles to get off the beaten track in Trang An on a 5km bicycle ride. (Trang An was recently listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.) The stunning area is famous for endless vistas of lush green valleys, extensive canal networks and of course, a magical back-drop of rugged karst limestone mountains dotted with red-roof local houses. Trang An is home to ancient indigenous cultures whose way of life has remained unchanged for years. Along our cycle route, we’ll wave to locals and encounter buffaloes, ducks and goats on the way.
16.00 – After our cycle ride we’ll stop for a special treat – a magical afternoon tea to savour sunset in this stunning area after an action-packed day!
19.00 – Arrive Hanoi. Drop off at your hotel.
