More about the tour
- We welcome everyone, young and old, to join us for our half day tour.
- All you need to know is how to ride a bicycle.
- The tour is suitable for children who are comfortable riding a bicycle.
- The tour will be conducted in English.
- The tour is approximately 15 km distance in total and lasts around 3.5 hours.
- You can store your luggage safely at our office during the tour.
- You can refresh yourself in the shower area at the office after the tour.
- You are welcome to use the facilities at our office before or after the tour – relaxing beds, laundry service, post service, WIFI and printing ticket service.
Hi, I’m Nikki. I started South East Asia Backpacker in 2008 as a print magazine. My vision was to create a travel diary for everyone – a place for all travellers to share their experiences. Further down the line, I saw the opportunity to guide backpackers towards the kind of experiences that I’d treasured myself in the region. Today, there is so much choice, but there are a lot of poor-quality tours and companies that offer mediocre experiences with little care for the environment. I wanted to create a handpicked selection of the best tried and tested activities to help backpackers avoid scams and unwanted experiences.
I did the bike tour on my first day in Hanoi and it was a great way to explore the city and make some sense of the hectic roads and junctions! The tour guides were great and helped us to expertly navigate our way through the Old Town and the city. We travelled much further then would ever have been possible by foot which gave us a greta chance to really explore the area. Along the way we were treated to a variety of snacks, fresh fruits and ice cold drinks – the perfect chance to refuel before hopping back on the bikes! We had a fantastic morning and would highly recommend this experience to fellow travellers. We completed a series of tours and experiences with Friends Travel Vietnam during our time in Hanoi and we really cannot speak highly enough of them.
