Climb Railay’s iconic limestone cliffs and be rewarded with jaw-dropping views! The rocks of Railay suit all levels. Families, children and first-time climbers welcome! Small groups max. 4 people. On the rock climbing trip, you will learn…
- Basic introduction to top-rope sport rock climbing.
- Basic introduction to simple belay and rappel techniques.
- Basic outdoor climbing safety measures.
- How to use the equipment safely.
- Basic climbing top-rope movement and holding techniques.
- Caving and light trekking in the national parks (full-day trip only).
- Abseiling from the famous Railay viewpoint! Enjoy a 10-meter abseil from the famous viewpoint 150 meters above sea level! (full-day trip only).
Full-day climbing itinerary
- 7.30 – 8 am – Hotel pick-up if needed.
- 8.30 am – Meet at the Real Rocks Shop for check-in and gear fitting.
- 8.45 am – Transfer by taxi and long-tail boat to Railay Beach (for customers staying on the mainland only).
- 9.00 am – 1.00 pm – Climbing at one or two locations on Railay Beach.
- 1.00 – 2.00 pm – Break for lunch (not included in the price).
- 2.00 pm – 5.30 pm – Afternoon rock climbing session, plus caving & abseiling from a famous Railay Viewpoint!
- 5.45 pm – Return to shop, return gear, end of full day climbing activity.
- 6.00 pm – Drop off at your accommodation.
Half-day climbing itinerary (morning option)
- 7.30 – 8.00 am – Hotel pick up if needed.
- 8.30 am – Meet at the Real Rocks Shop for check-in and gear fitting.
- 8.45 am – Transfer by taxi and long tail boat to Railay Beach (for customers staying on the mainland only).
- 9.00 am – 1.00 pm – Four hours of rock climbing on Railay Beach.
- 2.00 pm – End of the climbing activity (return by long tail boat to Ao Nang/Krabi town).
Half-day climbing itinerary (afternoon option)
- 12.30 – 1 pm – Hotel pick up if needed.
- 1.30 pm – Meet at the Real Rocks Shop for check-in and gear fitting.
- 1.45 pm – Transfer by taxi and long tail boat to Railay Beach (for customers staying on the mainland only).
- 2.00 – 6.00 pm – Four hours of rock climbing on Railay Beach.
- 6.00 pm – End of the climbing activity (return by long tail boat to Ao Nang/Krabi town).

What should you bring?
- Comfortable loose clothes that you can move in.
- Sun cream and mosquito repellant.
- Real Rocks are 100% plastic free. Customers are encouraged to bring their own water bottles to refill at the shop or at one of the refill stations on Railay Beach.

- Krabi Town: THB 500 round trip per booking
- Klong Muang: THB 1200 round trip per booking (Private Taxi.)
- Tubkaek Beach THB 120 round trip per booking (Private Taxi.)

- Prices are per person.
- Families with children are welcomed (mini shoes and equipment available).

Hi, I’m Nikki and I started South East Asia Backpacker in 2008 after my own first solo backpacking trip! My vision was to create a travel diary for everyone, a place for travellers to share their experiences from the road. After backpacking and writing about Southeast Asia for over 10 years, I saw the opportunity to provide backpackers with the kind of experiences that I’d treasured myself in the region! 
We recently took on the full day climbing tour at Railay with Real Rocks Climbing School and it was one of the best tours we’ve done in Asia! Our guide was funny, friendly, extremely knowledgable and super passionate about rock climbing – he knew exactly what routes to put us on according to our ability and safety was the top priority the whole time. We got to climb on some exciting routes, surrounded by incredible scenery and views – Railay is such a beautiful place to climb – and we also met some great people along the way! It was such a brilliant day and we would recommend this tour to anyone, no matter how experienced they are!
