The Top 5 Muay Thai Camps in Koh Samui! 🥊

Koh Samui is the perfect place to train Muay Thai. Gyms line the streets, three stadiums host regular fights and there are at least five top-tier Muay Thai camps. And when it’s time to relax, Koh Samui is home to some of the best beaches, nightlife and restaurants in the world!

But choosing where to train Muay Thai in Koh Samui isn’t as simple as rocking up and taking your chances. You need to do your research, read reviews and understand what each retreat offers. After all, you don’t want to pay a fortune for a mediocre trainer, crappy gym and rubbish food…

I recently stayed in the beach town of Lamai, home to some of the best Muay Thai gyms on Koh Samui, so had the opportunity to experience them first-hand! I spent my nights in the novel Thai Fight Hotel (more on that below) and took a trip to Mae Nam, Northern Koh Samui, to train at one popular Muay Thai/Fitness Camp that has Instagrammers drooling!

Thanks to South East Asia Backpacker’s years of working with prestigious Muay Thai camps, I knew where to go and where to avoid, which streamlined the process of finding the right gym for me. So, whether you’re an experienced fighter, keen amateur or a traveller wanting to try something new, there’s a Muay Thai camp in Koh Samui for you on this list! Are you ready to take on the challenge? 💪
