Daily Schedule
We pick you up at 8 AM from your accommodation in Chiang Mai city and drive for about an hour to a local market in Baan Kart where we stock up on supplies for the trip.
From the market, we have a short drive to our trekking start point from where we trek for about three hours uphill in the forest. We walk by a river and see waterfall along the way. For lunch, we take a break at a viewpoint and enjoy a multi-course local meal.
After lunch, the trekking length and difficulty will depend on you as we have several trails to choose from. Discuss with your guide so he knows which is the most suitable for you. We can trek for another three hours in the afternoon, or do a short trek of one hour.
The path leads us out of the jungle, through farmland, and to a local Karen hill tribe village where we rest, have a delicious local dinner, and spend the night as guests in the village.
In the morning we have breakfast with our hosts and then explore the village to learn how Karen people live. We then hike in the farmland and learn about local farming methods and can have a hands-on experience by helping villagers farm.
Before lunch, we trek to a local waterfall where we cook lunch in bamboo and go for a swim. After lunch, we trek to a pickup point. The length and difficulty of the trek is again up to you. We return to Chiang Mai city in the afternoon.
